Eighteen With a Bullet

When I was 18 I got my first real job working at a large savings and loan. I was hired as a clerk/typist and I worked in the training department. This was my first experience in the real world where everybody who was anybody in the corporate world was a WHITE. In 1975 you rarely saw any people of color in supervisory positions and I soon began to experience what real prejudice felt like. I
